AWARD CONTRACT
FIRE STATION NO. 1 PARKING LOT
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 8110
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Fire Station No. 1 Parking Lot
Reconstruction Project, City Project No. 8110, bids were received, opened and tabulated
according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the
advertisement:

WHEREAS, the low bid is 14% lower than the Engineer's Estimate; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives, Inc. of Rogers, MN is the lowest responsible
bidder complying with the minimum specifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends Alternate Bid A due to cost savings; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Hardrives, Inc. of
Rogers, MN;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are
hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract for the Base Bid and Alternate
Bid A with Hardrives, Inc. of Rogers, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the
Fire Station No. 1 Parking Lot Reconstruction Project, City Project No. 8110, according
to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the
office of the City Engineer in the amount of $105,507.70.
FURTHERMORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the fiunding for this project shall
be from the Facilities Management Fund in the amount of $125,000.
