HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2008-267CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2008-267 RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FERNBROOK LANE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 1013 WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on September 9, 2008 the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the total cost of the following improvements: Fernbrook Lane from approx. 700 feet south of 27t1' Ave to approx. 650 feet north of 34th Ave. by the reconstruction of Fernbrook Lane by the installation of turn lanes at the intersections of 34th Avenue, Harbor Lane, Highway 55, and 27th Avenue along with revisions to the existing storm drainage system and to the traffic signal system at Hig� hway 55, and the installation of permanent traffic signal systems at Harbor Lane and 27t' Avenue, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 14th day of October 2008 in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. Adopted by the City Council on September 9, 2008.
