Special Council Meeting
May 14, 2013
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on May 14, 2013.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Wosje, Willis, Black, Stein, Johnson,
and Bildsoe.
ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Ahrens, Human Resources Director Kone, and Public Works
Director Cote.
City Manager Selection Process
Human Resources Director Kone discussed various options for the Council in filling the City
Manager position. The Council directed staff to advertise for this position with an application
deadline of May 31. They stated they would be setting a study session on the regular agenda this
evening to further discuss the City Manager selection process.
Mayor Slavik adjourned the Special Meeting and requested a motion to go into closed session to
discuss labor negotiations.
Motion was made by Councilmember Willis, and seconded by Councilmember Bildsoe, to go
into Closed Session to discuss labor negotiations. With all members voting in favor, the motion
carried.
Mayor Slavik adjourned the Closed Session at 6:50 p.m.
