HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2008-202CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2008-202 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT AND TRAVEL POLICY WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth maintains a goal to employ and retain talented and employees and public officials; and WHERAS, The City supports the growth and development of employees for the increased efficiency and effectiveness of the organization; and WHEREAS, in the course or scope of their employment, employees and city officials may be required to travel or incur other expenses related to official city business; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth City Council has approved policies consistent with state statutes and other opinions for the payment and reimbursement of travel and other expenses incurred by employees and officials in the conduct of approved official city business; and WHEREAS, these policies were reviewed, updated to clarify language and combined into one comprehensive policy for expense reimbursement and travel. NOW, THEREFORE, SO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA to adopt the Expense Reimbursement and Travel Policy for employees and officials of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to rescind the following resolutions and policies: ■ Resolution No. 2005-412 — Elected Official Out -of -State Travel Policy ■ Resolution No. 2003-175 — Travel and Expense Policy ■ Resolution No. 93-253 — Mileage Reimbursement Policy and Procedures ■ Resolution No. 83-199 — Policy Relating to Reimbursement of Ordinary Expenses to City Council, Commission and Board Members ■ Resolution No. 80-730 — Urging and Directing Members of Advisory Commissions to Physically View and Inspect Properties and Sites Which are Subject of Commission Deliberations Adopted by the City Council on June 24, 2008.
