RESOLUTION NO. 2008-189
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS
FROM CENTER POINT ENERGY TO BE USED TO
PURCHASE EQUIPMENT BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Police Department would like to purchase a remote controlled video
robot; and
WHEREAS, in many instances, this robot could be used to more effectively and safely
conduct searches of dangerous areas; and
WHEREAS, Center Point Energy has made available $2,500 in grant fiends towards the
cost of purchasing this equipment,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council hereby accepts the grant fiinds from Center
Point Energy in the amount of $2,500 and designates it for use by the Police Department
to purchase equipment.
Adopted by the City Council on June 24, 2008.
