RESOLUTION NO. 2008-116
AWARDING CONTRACT
2008 MILL AND OVERLAY FOR NIAGARA LANE
CITY PROJECT NO. 8109
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2008 Mill and Overlay Improvement, Niagara
Lane from County Road 6 to Think Hwy. 55, by bituminous resurfacing, replacement of concrete curb
and gutter, Traffic Signal loop detectors and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and
tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that ASTECH Corp. of St. Cloud, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying
with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with
ASTECH Corp. of St. Cloud, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 2008 Mill and Overlay
Improvement, Niagara Lane, from County Road 6 to Think Hwy 55, according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer by
awarding a contract in the amount of $349,980.04.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made
with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be
retained until a contract has been signed.
3. Funding for this project will be from:
Street Reconstruction Fund $235,477
Special Assessments $167,000
Adopted by the City Council on April 8, 2008.
