RESOLUTION NO. 2008-102
APPROVAL OF THE PURCHASE OF
TWO CURRENT MODEL TANDEM AXLE TRUCK CHASSIS' AND
RELATED HAULING AND SNOW PLOWINGACE CONTROL EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, There is approval in the 2008 budget to replace one tandem axle trick with related
equipment through Central Equipment , and for the Street Division to purchase one new tandem axle
trick with related equipment, and
WHEREAS, the City may make purchases off the State of Minnesota contracts, and
WHEREAS, Twin City Mack and Volvo Tricks has a contract with the State for this trick chassis
meeting the City's specifications, Contract 4439011, and
WHEREAS, J -Craft by TBEI has a contract with the State for snow plow trick components and
accessories meeting the City's specifications, Contract 4 438588
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, to purchase two (2) current model Tandem Axle Trick Chassis from
Twin City Mack & Volvo Tricks and the related equipment to complete the trick with hauling and
snow plowing/ice control equipment from J -Craft TBEL The amount due to Twin City Mack & Volvo
Tricks will be $189,538.38 and due to J -Craft $190,583.88. Sales tax due to the state at registration is
$12,319.99 for a total expenditure for this purchase of $392,442.25.
