HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2008-101CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2008-101 APPROVING MASTER CONTRACT WITH MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) wishes to cooperate closely with local units of government in coordinating the delivery of transportation services and in maximizing the efficient delivery of such services at all levels of government; and WHEREAS, Mn/DOT and local governments are authorized by M. S. sections 471.59, 174.02, and 161.20 to undertake collaborative efforts for the design, constriction, maintenance, and operation of state and local roads; and WHEREAS, Mn/DOT has initiated a Master Partnership Contract program for requesting and delivering technical services to local governments and the parties wish to be able to respond quickly and efficiently to such opportunities for collaboration, and have determined that having the ability to write "Work Orders" against a Master Contract would provide the greatest speed and flexibility in responding to identified needs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The City of Plymouth enters into a Master Partnership Contract with Mn/DOT, a copy of which was before the Council. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute said Contract, and any amendments attached thereto. Adopted by the City Council on March 25, 2008. STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS.
