RESOLUTION NO. 2008-082
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT
OF PUBLIC SAFETY, DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY
AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, has placed former Police Sergeant Robert Nesbitt in
the Minnesota Joint Analysis Center (MNJAC), where he has worked as a contract
employee since July 2005; and
WHEREAS, MNJAC is unable to apply accept grant money to cover essential needs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth was requested to act as a "pass-through" agent for
MNJAC; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has been notified that its grant application has been
approved for the amount of $80,000; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth will be compensated for all costs associated with this
grant.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to
accept the grant and enter into an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public
Safety, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management as a "pass-through"
agent for the Minnesota Joint Analysis Center for a period to expire on March 30, 2010.
