HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2008-078CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2008-078 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT TO ALLOW VENDING COMPANIES AS A PERMITTED USE IN THE C-5 (COMMERCIALANDUSTRIAL) ZONING DISTRICT (2008005) WHEREAS, Apple Automatic Food Service has requested an amendment to allow vending companies as a permitted use in the C-5 (Commercial/Industrial) zoning district; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendment at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve a Zoning Ordinance text amendment, based upon the following findings: 1. The proposed amendment would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and with the City's ordinances and policies. 2. There is adequate infrastructure available to serve the proposed action. 3. A vending company use on properties with C-5 zoning would not adversely impact the public health, safety or aesthetics of the community. ADOPTED by the City Council this l lt'' day of March, 2008.
