RESOLUTION NO. 2008-019
AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF SIX NEW CURRENT
MODEL REPLACEMENT POLICE SQUAD CARS AND ONE
ADDITIONAL POLICE SQUAD CAR
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the 2008 Central Equipment budget which
includes the purchase of six new replacement squad cars and the Police budget which
includes one new additional squad car; and
WHEREAS, the city may purchase off State contracts; and
WHEREAS, Monticello Ford has a contract with the State (Contract 4438386).
NOW, THEREFORE BY IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH that the purchase of six new replacement squad cars off the
State Contract through Monticello Ford is authorized. The purchase price is $22,795 per
vehicle for a total cost of $159,565 plus one service electrical and emissions CD for $198
for a total amount of $159,763. There will be no sales tax since "Clearly Marked
Emergency Vehicles" are not subject to State sales tax.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fiinding will be from the following accounts:
