HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2008-011CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2008-011 RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT AND CALLING FOR HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS COUNTY ROAD 101 RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT 13TH AVENUE TO 30TH AVENUE CITY PROJECT NO. 5102 WHEREAS, a report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of County Road 101 between 13th Avenue and 30th Avenue; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the reconstruction of County Road 101 by the installation of concrete medians and widening for turn lanes at the intersections along with revisions to the existing storm drainage system and to the signal system at 14th Avenue and County Road 6. Portions of the existing water main and related appurtenances will also be replaced; and WHEREAS, said report was received by the Council on January 8, 2008; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvements are necessary, cost effective, and feasible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Council will consider the improvement of County Road 101 in accordance with the report and the assessment of benefiting property within the designated County Road 101 Improvement, City Project No. 5102, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total City cost of the improvement of $3,766,625. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 12th day of February, 2008 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. Adopted by the City Council on January 8, 2008.
