HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1988-37CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 88- 3'' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NUMBER 80-9, ADOPTED DUNE 16, 1980 AS AMENDED, AND KNOWN AS THE PLYMOUTH ZONING ORDINANCE, RELATIVE TO PROVISIONS FOR HOME OCCUPATION CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amendment of Zoning Ordinance. SECTION 4, Subdivision B., is hereby amended by deleting the definition for Home Occupation in its entirety and substituting the following: Home Occupation -- Any gainful occupation or profession engaged in by the occu- pant of the dwelling unit within the dwelling unit which is clearly incidental and secondary to the residential use of the premises, provided, such activity does not produce light glare, nose, odor, or vibration perceptible beyond the boundaries of the premises; does not involve the use of accessory structures or any of the following: Repair, service, or manufacturing which requires equipment other than that customarily found in a home; over-the-counter sale of merchandise produced off the premises; or, the emplo ment of persons on the premises other than those customarily residing on the premises. Home Occupation Conditional -- Any gainful occupation or profession, approved pursuant to the conditional use permit provisions of this Ordinance, engaged in b the occupant of a dwelling unit within the dwelling unit or within not more than one accessory structure permitted by the Zoning Ordinance, and which involves an of the following: Stock -in -trade incidental to the performance of the service; repair, or manufacturing which require equipment other than that customarily found in a home; the employment on the premises, at any one time of not more than one person who is a non-resident of the premises; the teaching of more than one but not more than four non-resident students at any given time; or the need for not more than two parking spaces in addition to spaces required for the persons residing on The premises. Section 2.
