AI:ENDING SECTION 600 OF TFE PLYMOUTF CITY CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH. ORDAINS:
Section 1. The Plymouth City Code, Subsection 805.01,
Subdivision 10, is amended to read:
Subd. 10. Park Closinc. Subject to the pro-
visions of Subsection 605.07, no person shall remain in
or 'on any public park, parkway, beach or adjacent
waters or drive when such park, parkway, beach or drive
is closed.
Sec. 2. The Plymouth City Code, Subsection. 805.07,
Subdivision 1, is amended to read:
§805.07.Closinc cf Parks and Beaches. Subdivision 1.
Hour=_; Basic F.ule. Public Parks and beaches will close
durino such hours as the Council may by resolution from
time to time deterr..ine. No person shall be in, remain
in., or leave or park any vehicle in any park, parkway,
beach or adiacent waters or driva „,:rino such hours as
the Council may by resolution from time to time deter-
mine. ^his Subsection shall not apply to persons who,
without delay, are traveling upon the established
walks, paths, parkways or drives of the parks. Groups,
associations, or organizations wishing to meet in a
park or beach area past the time designated by the
Council must obtain a permit from the City Manager.
The City Manager shall gram the application if, in his
judgment, the use for which the permit is sought will
not interfere with the health, safety, welfare and
morals of the general public and if the applicant meets
all other conditions required by the Manager and
contained in the application form. The application
form may contain a requirement for an indemnity bond,
in form and substance satisfactory to the City Attor-
ney, holding the City harmless from liability of any
kind or character and which bond shall protect the City
in case of property damage. The bond shall be filed
with the City Clerk.
Sec. 3. The Plymouth City Code, Subsection 805.07,
Subdivision 2, is amended to read:
Subd. 2. Postinc of Hours -----=t. The
hours of operation of the parks and beaches shall be
prominently posted by the City Manager or his au-
thorized designee in each park and at each beach.
Sec. 4. The Plymouth City Code, S*bsection 605.07, is

unlaerful for any person to en_er onto a beach or into
adjacent waters when tha- beac. is closed, or fail or
refuse to leave the beach or adjacent Waters upon
notice that the beach is closed. A beach is closed for

a) Before or after the official hours of opera-
tion, as determined by the Council and posted at
the beach pursuant tc §605.07, Subd. 2 of this
Code; or
(b) The beach, has been closed by the Chief of
Police persuar.t to §60-'.07, Subd. 3 of this Code;
or
(c) No lifeguard is on. duty.
Sec. 5. This ordinance is effective on its publication
in accordance with Subsection. 110.11. -1/G� _ i
