AN ORDINANCE
RELATING TO THE USE OF FIREARMS
AND HUNTING: AMENDING PLYMOUTH CITY CODE,
SECTION 930, BY ADDING A SUBSECTION:
AMENDING PLYMOUTH CITY CODE, SUBSECTION 930.05.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:

Sec. 2. Plymouth City Code, Subsection 930.05, is amended
to read:
930.05. Special Permits. Subd. 1. Certain Animals. The Clerk
may grant a permit to any adult person under no legal disability
for the possession of firearms upon application for the use of

injured or dangerous animals, birds or reptiles;-b+i*--ne No such

Subd. 2. Nuisance Animals. A permit may also be issued by
the Clerk to any adult person under no legal disability for the
possession of firearms for use of firearms on the property for
whom the permit is granted €er--tk-txse--e€-i�rrms -€oma--tke
destraet€es- -i3-f to destroy crows, rabbits, skunks, or similar
small animals or birds which are a nuisance or which are causing
damage or injury to trees or crops. Such permit shall be valid
until December 31 of the year in which granted and shall be
issued upon the payment of the fee set up by Chapter X.
Subd. 3. Overpopulated wild animals. A permit may also be
issued by the Clerk upon approval of the City Council to any
adult person under no legal disability for the possession of
firearms to hunt specified types of animals with a firearm or bow
and arrow in designated areas where there is existing or
threatened overpopulation of such animals. Such permit may only
be issued under terms that are consistent with all applicable
state and federal laws and regulations concerning protected wild
animals.
Sec. 3. This ordinance is effective upon publication in
accordance with Subsection 110.11.
