AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY
AND THE LICENSING OF PAWNBROKERS AND SECONDHAND
GOOD DEALERS, ADDING A NEW SECTION TO THE
PLYMOUTH CITY CODE AND AMENDING SECTION 1010 OF THE CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
Section 1. The Plymouth City Code is amended by adding a
new section to read:

Subd. 3. Identification. A secondhand goods

1160.49. Redemption Period. A vergon who 21wns
an item shall, have at least four months to redeem .the
item before ij may be sold.
1160.51. Payments by Check. When a secondhand
Dods dealer Mus or otherwise receives an item at the
licensed pla a of business, payment must be made by
check made payable to a named payee who is the actual
intended seller. This subsection does not
apply to
Pawnbrokers.
1160,53. Inspections. A peace officer or any
Properly designated employee of the City or the State
of Minnesota ma enter, inspect and search business
remises license under this Sectionr during Business
hourst without a warrant.
1160.55,County License. Secondhand goods
dealers and wnbrokers dealin in Precious metals and
ems must be icensed by Hennepin County,

Sec. 2. The Plymouth City Code, Subsection 1010.01,
Subdivision 1 is amended to read:
Fees. Subdivision 1. Fees Set. The fees for the
various licenses required by this Code are set forth in
this Subsection under the headings listed for
subdivisions through 99.
Sec. 3. The Plymouth City Code, Subsection 1010.01 is
amended by adding a new subdivision to read:
Subd. 9. Pawnbroker and Secondhand Goods.Dealer.

Sec. 4. This ordinance is effective on the date of its
publication in accordance with Subsection 110.11.
