HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1990-12CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 90 - /,L AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 715.05 CLAUSE (c) AND SUBSECTION 720.17 SUBDIVISION 1 CLAUSE (b) OF CHAPTER VII OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO RATES AND CHARGES FOR SANITARY SEWER AND WATER SERVICE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYND9UTH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subsection 715.05 Clause (c) of Chapter VII of the Plymouth City Code is amended to read: (c) Volume Charge, A charge of $1.56 per one thousand gallons of sewage discharged into the City's sanitary sewer system shall be made to each sanitary sewer account- except for qualified senior citizens whom a charge of $1.40 per one thousand gallons will apply. The volume of such sewage discharge shall be based upon the average amount of water consumed by the account during the months of October through March. In those instances where there is no metered water service to an account or the account history is inadequate, the volume of sewer usage shall be that used for similar classes of property similarly situated. Section 2. Subsection 720.17 Subdivision 1, Clause (b) of Chapter VII of the Plymouth City Code is amended to read: (b) Volume Charge. A charge of $.75 per one thousand gallons of water used shall be made to each water account_ except for qualified senior citizens meeting criteria periodically established by the City Manager for whom a charge of 5.67 per one thousand gallons will apply. In those instances where there is no adequate water meter history, the measure of usage shall be that used for similar classes of property similarly situated. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect for sewer and water bills rendered on and after July 1, 1990 and upon compliance with Plymouth City Code Subsection 110.11.
