HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1992-05ORDINANCE NO. 92-5 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO ANIMAL CONTROL AND THE REGULATION OF ANIMAL NOISE AND AMENDING SUBSECTIONS 915.01 AND 915.13 OF THE PLYMOUTH CITY CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS: Sec. 1. The Plymouth City Code, Subsection 915.01 is amended by adding a new subdivision to read as follows: Sec. 2. The Plymouth City Code, Subsection 915.13, subdivisions 1, 2 and 4 are amended to read: 915.13. Public Nuisances; Abatement of Nuisance; Notice of Violation. Subdivision 1. General Rule. No person shall own, keep, harbor or allow o be kept or harbored any 4�4 animal which by loud ��4 or frequent barking, howling or yelping shall 41�V4J�4 �i 4�i�J 4 N 1�4j�� J��Yaj�4 unreasonably disturb the peace and Quiet of persons in the vicinity thereof. Subdivision 2. Clean-up. No owner shall permit his O¢4 animal to damage or foul any lawn, garden or other property. An owner shall have the responsibility of cleaning up any feces of the animal and to dispose of such feces in a sanitary manner. Subdivision 4. Notice. Upon the receipt of a written complaint of a violation of subdivision 1 by two or more persons residing in the vicinity of such an animal, or upon request of a law the Director of Public Safety shall notify the owner to abate the nuisance within 48 hours. Failure to obey such notice shall be a violation of this Section. For the purposes of this Section, members of the same family unit residing in the same dwelling shall be regarded as one person. Sec. 3. This ordinance is effective upon its passage and publication in accordance with Section 110.11.
