HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1992-02CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 92-2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF THE ORDINANCE 80-9 ADOPTED JUNE 16, 1980, AS AMENDED, AND KNOWN AS THE PLYMOUTH ZONING ORDINANCE, RELATIVE TO THE DEFINITION OF CLASS I/CLASS II RESTAURANTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 4, Subdivision B is hereby amended as follows: Restaurants (Class I) -- Traditional Restaurant -- Food is served to a customer and consumed by him while seated at the counter or table. Cafeteria -- Food is selected by a customer while going through a serving line and taken to a table for consumption. No more than 40 percent of the total food sales may be for takeout or delivery. Restaurants (Class II) -- Fast Food Restaurants -- A majority of customers ordering or served their food at a counter and take it to a table or counter where it is consumed. However, a significant number may take the food outside to eat in an automobile or off the premises. Drive-in Restaurant -- Most customers consume their food in an automobile regardless of how it is served. Carry Out and Delivery Restaurant -- Food is prepared for consumption off the premises an .
