ORDINANCE NO. 95- 48
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10, SUBDIVISION A OF THE
PLYMOUTH ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO SIGN REGULATIONS
FOR THE I-1 (PLANNED INDUSTRIAL) ZONING DISTRICT
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 10, Subd. A, 6, b. (7) of the Plymouth Zoning Ordinance
is hereby amended by adding and deleting text to read as follows:
(7) Business signs shall direct attention to the business, profession, commodity or
service which is found on the premises where the sign is located, except that
such a -signs may be placed on an adjacent (j.e.. adjoiningLpremises if all of the
following conditions are met:
(a) there is common ownership of the two premises or the two premises
share the same business mark or common development name and the
signage rights are designated in a recorded easement or similar
instrument;
(b) the signs areis in compliance with all other ordinance requirements; and
(c) that -the sign(&) shall be removed from the adjacent premises within six
months in the event that the two premises are no longer in common
ownership or subject to such recorded easement or similar instrument
-
(d) the premises served by the off-site business sign shall not have frontage
on a collector or arterial street:
(e) the sign shall be located on a premises that has frontage on an arterial
roadway:
(f) the premises served by the off-site business sign shall not have or
install a free standing pylon/monument type sign on their own premises
while such off-site busjness sign . . exjstence• and
(g) the sign shall not contain arrows or other forms of directions to the
premises served by the sign

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage.
Adopted by the City Council this 3rd day of October, 1995.
