HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2024-061 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2024-061 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND O RDERING A DVERTISEMENT FOR B IDS FOR THE 2024 S TREET R EHABILITATION P ROJECT (ST249002) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 6, 2024, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for improvement No. ST249002, the improvement of the 2024 Street Rehabilitation Project including the streets south of 32nd Avenue, west of and including Zanzibar Lane, north of and including 26th Avenue, and east of Dunkirk Lane, the streets south of and including Schmidt Lake Road, west of Highway 169, north of Rockford Road, and east of and including Nathan Lane, the streets south of and including Rosewood Lane, west of Northwest Boulevard, north of and including 37th Avenue, east of and including Vinewood Lane and Underwood Lane and Sycamore Lane south of 37th Avenue, the streets south of Rockford Road, west of Zachary Lane, north of and including 42nd Avenue, and east of and including Larch Lane and Ives Lane south of Old Rockford Road, 41st Avenue between Old Rockford Road and Goldenrod Lane, Old Rockford Road west of Larch Lane, 42nd Avenue 400 feet west of Larch Lane, and Magnolia Lane north of 42nd Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and on Quest CDN an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published two times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received online by QuestCDN until 10:30 a.m. on March 7, 2024 at which time they will be publicly displayed in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Engineer and City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at 7:00 p.m. on April 9, 2024, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless submitted online via the QuestCDN bidding site and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. APPROVED by the City Council on this 6th day of February, 2024.
