R ESOLUTION N O. 2024-047
R ESOLUTION O RDERING P RELIMINARY E NGINEERING R EPORT FOR THE
B IRCHWOOD E STATES S TREET R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT (ST249001)
WHEREAS, the amended 2023 Capital Improvement Plan (2024-2032) made recommendations
for the Birchwood Estates Street Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to undertake a Preliminary Engineering Report to determine the work
required on each street recommended to be considered for the Birchwood Estates Street Reconstruction
Project (ST249001); and
WHEREAS, 4th Avenue from Vicksburg Lane to Comstock Lane, 5th Avenue from Weston Lane to
the western dead end, Black Oaks Lane from 5th Avenue to the southern dead end, Comstock Lane from
4th Avenue to the northern cul-de-sac, and Weston Lane from 4th Avenue to 5th Avenue is the
recommended project area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the City Engineer is hereby instructed to prepare a Preliminary Engineering Report
with all convenient speed by advising the Council, in a preliminary way, as to whether the proposed
improvements are feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with
some other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended.
