R ESOLUTION N O. 2024-045
R ESOLUTION APPROVING THE D ESIGN AND O RDER A DVERTISEMENT FOR B IDS FOR
T HE M EADOWS P LAYFIELD (PR240001)
WHEREAS, The Meadows Playfield is approximately 20 acres on the southwest corner of Peony
Lane N. & Chankahda Trail; and
WHEREAS, it is included in the 2024-2033 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) with construction
scheduled for 2024; and
WHEREAS, the development will include both active and passive recreation opportunities,
recreation support spaces and landscaping; and
WHEREAS, bids for the construction of the playfields for this project are scheduled to be
received on February 29, 2024 with a project award recommendation anticipated for the March 26,
2024 council meeting; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project is expected to be from the Park Dedication Fund, Water
Resources Fund, grant funding and donations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the City Council hereby authorizes the design and advertisement for bids for The
Meadows Playfield (PR240001).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 23rd day of January, 2024.
