HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2024-036 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2024-036 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING F INAL C LOSEOUT FOR THE H IDDEN L AKE AND B EACON H EIGHTS 2 ND S TREET R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT (ST229001) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner, and New Look Contracting, Inc. as the contractor, have entered into an agreement for the Hidden Lake and Beacon Heights 2nd Street Reconstruction Project. Said agreement was approved by the City Council on February 22, 2022; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the request for final payment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $4,446,077.90 and the revised contract amount was $4,454,327.90. At project completion the final contract amount is $4,645,222.34. 2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Hidden Lake and Beacon Heights 2nd Street Reconstruction Project and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final payment. 3. The total project cost is $5,358,493.03, which includes the improvements ($4,645,222.34), engineering and administration ($666,911.69), and easement acquisition ($46,359). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: 1. The original funding for this project was from the Street Reconstruction Fund ($2,534,753.73), special assessments ($889,440.75), the Water Fund ($1,390,056), the Water Resources Fund (150,000), the Sewer Fund ($144,390), and funds received from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act ($276,653). 2. That the funding for this project would be from the Street Reconstruction Fund ($2,568,821.99), special assessments ($889,440.75), the Water Fund ($1,357,939.55), the Water Resources Fund ($150,000), the Sewer Fund ($115,637.74), and funds received from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act ($276,653). APPROVED by the City Council on this 23rd day of January, 2024.
