R ESOLUTION N O. 2024-033
R ESOLUTION APPROVING THE Y OUTH A CTIVITIES G RANT A GREEMENT WITH H ENNEPIN
C OUNTY FOR T HE M EADOWS P LAYFIELD (PR240001)
WHEREAS, The Meadows Playfield is listed in the proposed 2024-2033 Capital Improvement
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the project involves developing approximately 20 acres at 5805 Peony Lane N. with
active and passive recreation opportunities, recreation support spaces and landscaping; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved submittal of the grant application on March 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners approved a grant award of $200,000
on December 12, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that:
1. The grant agreement from Hennepin County is accepted.
2. The City Council authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute said grant agreement.
