R ESOLUTION N O. 2024-016
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING F INAL C LOSEOUT FOR THE
F OUR S EASONS M ALL D EMOLITION (ST-23-0007)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner, and Rachel Contracting, LLC as the contractor,
have entered into an agreement for the Four Seasons Mall Demolition and said agreement was
approved by the City Council on October 25, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the
request for final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $849,390.00
and the final contract amount is $867,112.50.
2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Four Seasons Mall Demolition and
certified to the council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is released from the
contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the
owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final payment.
3. The total project cost is $955,209.13 which includes the improvements ($867,112.50) and
engineering and administration ($88,096.60).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. Original funding for the project was from the Transit Fund reserves fund ($1,061,737,50).
2. The funding for the project will be from the Transit Fund reserves fund ($955,209.13).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 9th day of January, 2024.
