A R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE F INAL C LOSEOUT FOR THE Z ACHARY P LAYFIELD
P ICKLEBALL C OURTS (PR229005) AND B ASS L AKE P LAYFIELD C OURTS & P ARKING
L OT R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECTS (PRN23001)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner, and Kevitt Excavating, LLC as the contractor, have
entered into an agreement for construction of the Zachary Playfield Pickleball Courts (PR229005) and
Bass Lake Playfield Courts & Parking Lot Reconstruction (PRN23001) and said agreement was approved
by the City Council on March 14, 2023;
WHEREAS, the landscape architect has certified acceptance of the work and approval of the
request for final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $569,288.01
and the final contract amount is $551,971.14.
2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Zachary Playfield Pickleball Courts
(PR229005) and Bass Lake Playfield Courts & Parking Lot Reconstruction (PRN23001) and
certified to the City Council by the landscape architect as acceptable, being the same, is
released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all
legal rights of the owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final
payment.
3. The funding for the project is from the Park Dedication Fund ($292,028.34) and Park
Replacement Fund ($259,942.80).
APPROVED by the City Council this 12th day of December, 2023.
