R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-307
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING F INAL C LOSEOUT FOR THE
M EADOW W OOD D RAINAGE I MPROVEMENT P ROJECT (WR180009)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner, and Pember Companies as the contractor, have
entered into an agreement for the Meadow Wood Drainage Improvement Project and said agreement
was approved by the City Council on September 22, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the
request for final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $300,484 and
the final contract amount is $348,274.13.
2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Meadow Wood Drainage Improvement
Project and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is
released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all
legal rights of the owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final
payment.
3. The total project cost is $412,809.13 which includes the drainage improvements
($348,758.13) and design and administration ($64,051).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. The original funding for the project was from the Water Resources Fund ($410,000).
2. The funding for the project will be from the Water Resources Fund ($412,809.13).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of December, 2023.
