R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-300
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING F INAL C LOSEOUT FOR THE
B ASS L AKE E STATES 2 ND A DDITION S TREAM R ESTORATION P ROJECT (WR220001)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner, and Best Outdoor Services / BOS Concrete LLC. as
the contractor, have entered into an agreement for the Bass Lake Estates 2nd Addition Stream
Restoration Project and said agreement was approved by the City Council on October 25, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the
request for final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $133,640 and
the final contract amount is $149,484.15.
2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Bass Lake Estates 2nd Addition Stream
Restoration Project and certified to the council by the engineer as acceptable, being the
same, is released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond,
any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work
after final payment.
3. The total project cost is $235,530.32 which includes the drainage improvements
($149,484.15) and design and administration ($86,046.17).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. The original funding for the project was from the Water Resources Fund ($395,500).
2. The funding for the project will be from the Water Resources Fund ($235,530.32).
3. The City will be reimbursed by the Shingle Creek Watershed Management Commission
($58,882.58), the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources ($150,000) and the City of
Maple Grove ($18,253.70) for this project.
