ORDINANCE No. 2023-19
ORDINANCE AMENDING A GAS ENERGY FRANCHISE FEE ON CENTERPOINT
ENERGY MINNESOTA GAS ("CENTERPOINT ENERGY") FOR PROVIDING
GAS ENERGY SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
On January 14, 2014,the City Council adopted Ordinance No.2014-02 implementing a gas energy
franchise fee on Centerpoint Energy Minnesota Gas("Centerpoint Energy")for providing gas energy
service within the City of Plymouth, Minnesota.The last rate adjustment occurred on December 13,
2022.
Schedule A of the franchise ordinance is hereby amended to reflect a 40%adjustment as follows:

Residential $2.52 per month $3.53 per month
Firm A $3.79 per month $5.31 per month
Firm B $12.65 per month $17.71 per month
Firm C $50.61 per month $70.85 per month
Small Volume, Dual Fuel A $50.61 per month $70.85 per month
Small Volume, Dual Fuel B $50.61 per month $70.85 per month
Large Volume, Dual Fuel $50.61 per month $70.85 per month
Effective Date.The effective date of this ordinance shall be after its publication and ninety(90)
days after its passage and publication and sending of written notice enclosing a copy of this adopted
Ordinance to Centerpoint Energy by certified mail.
ADOPTED by the City Council on this 12th day of December,2023.
