R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-274
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P URCHASE OF O FFICE F URNISHINGS FOR P UBLIC S AFETY
B UILDING
WHEREAS, the 2023-2032 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and 2023 budget included a refresh to
the Public Safety building which included office furnishings; and
WHEREAS, the city may make purchases off the state contracts; and
WHEREAS, Acre, has contracts with the state for office furnishings; and
WHEREAS, the city has additional soft costs for demolition and additional low voltage work to be
completed at the city’s specifications; and
WHEREAS, the disposal of the existing furnishings will be sold through auction in 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the purchase of office furnishings is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the amount due to Acre $473,539.67 for office furnishings at tax
exempt and an additional soft cost estimate of $20,000 due to city approved contactors for demolition
and additional low voltage work for a total expenditure of $493,539.67.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding would come from Surplus Fund 400-90-940-94000-
8100.500 in the amount of $225,000 and Public Facilities Fund 610-70-760-76065-8100.500 in the
amount of $268,539.67.
