RESOLUTION NO. 2023-241
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLYMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH FLOCK GROUP INC FOR AUTOMATED LICENSE PLATE READER TECHNOLOGY
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department continues to research innovative solutions to safely
and efficiently address criminal activity; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has experienced an increase in motor vehicles fleeing from
officers; and
WHEREAS, automotive license plate reader technology has been proven to be a safe and
effective tool to assist police in safely locating suspects of criminal activity, stolen vehicles or missing
and endangered persons; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has identified Flock Group Inc to provide automotive license
plate reader technology equipment and services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the contract agreement with Flock Group Inc is approved and the Police Department is
authorized to execute said agreement.
