RESOLUTION NO. 2023-232
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DONATION OF SURPLUS FIRE EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Fire Department has surplus gas monitors, ventilation fans, pagers, thermal
imagers and scene lights; and
WHEREAS, this surplus equipment no longer meets the standard of the Plymouth fire Department or
has been replaced with safer and more efficient technology; and
WHEREAS, this surplus equipment has no value to the City of Plymouth or the Plymouth Fire
Department but would be a benefit to another municipality in need, and the Ideal, Aitkin, Milaca and Stewart
Fire Departments were identified as Minnesota fire departments that would benefit; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statute allows for the donation of this type of surplus equipment with
tort immunity for the City of Plymouth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that donation of surplus fire equipment to the Ideal, Aitkin, Milaca and Stewart Fire
Departments is approved.
