RESOLUTION NO. 2023-231
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HENNEPIN COUNTY YOUTH SPORTS GRANT FACILITY
APPLICATION FOR THE MEADOWS PLAYFIELD (PR240001)
WHEREAS, Hennepin County is accepting grant applications from local government units
interested in creating, expanding or improving athletic or recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth would act as the legal sponsor for the project contained in the
Hennepin County Sports Grant Facility Application; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks & Recreation would be authorized to apply to Hennepin County
for funding of this project on behalf of the City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth would maintain an adequate Conflict of Interest Policy and
throughout the term of the contract, monitor and report any actual or potential conflicts of interest to
Hennepin County, upon discovery; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance and has
the financial capability to meet the match requirement and ensure adequate construction, operation,
maintenance and replacement of the proposed project for its design life; and
WHEREAS, upon approval of its application by Hennepin County, the City of Plymouth may enter
into an agreement with Hennepin County for the above-referenced project, and that the City of
Plymouth certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as state in the grant
agreement including dedicating the park property for uses consistent with the grant funding program
into perpetuity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that Mayor Jeffry Wosje is hereby authorized to execute such agreements as necessary to
implement the project on behalf of the City of Plymouth
