RESOLUTION NO. 2023-224
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CONSULTING ENGINEER FOR THE
STATION 73 TRANSIT AND REGIONAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
FINAL DESIGN AND BIDDING SERVICES (ST230003)
WHEREAS, the Station 73 Transit and Regional Improvement Project is listed in the proposed
2023-2032 Capital Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the project involves constructing safety and mobility improvements at and near the
intersection of Highway 55 and County Road 73; and
WHEREAS, the project was identified in the Highway 55 bus rapid transit station area
improvement microstudy completed by the city; and
WHEREAS, the trail connections contemplated with the project are supported by the Three
Rivers Park District Bryant to Eagle Lake Regional Trail master plan; and
WHEREAS, Kimley-Horn and associated was designated as the consulting engineer for the final
design and bidding services of the portion of the project within Highway 55 right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, preliminary design of the remaining portions of the project is nearing completion;
and
WHEREAS, a proposal for final design of the remaining portions of the project was received and
evaluated by staff; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends Kimley-Horn be designated as the consulting engineer for the final
design and bidding services phase of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that Kimley-Horn is designated as the city’s consulting engineer for the Station 73 Transit
and Regional Improvement Project (ST230003) in the amount of $1,503,365.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for this project shall be from the Street Reconstruction Fund
in the amount of $1,503,365.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of September, 2023.
