About the Bands From the Church of Cash: “The Church of Cash is true to the music of Johnny Cash, and singer Jay [Ernest’s] deep baritone voice sings like a prairie breeze and stomps like a boot heel. Church of Cash is not a country band. Church of Cash is a tribute band with the express purpose of honoring the indelible legacy of Johnny Cash. Road-tested and always road-ready, The Church of Cash is celebrating the soul of American music.” From The Belfast Cowboys: “The Belfast Cowboys is a nine-piece, horn-driven band from Minneapolis that specializes in the music of Van Morrison, mixing rock, blues, roots and soul sounds. Led by veteran songwriter and guitarist Terry Walsh and powered by a four-piece horn section, the Cowboys have flourished in the renowned Minnesota music scene and have consistently packed houses and wowed crowds since 2002.” Cutline: The City of Plymouth is set to host an evening of free outdoor music featuring Church of Cash and The Belfast Cowboys 6-9 p.m. Friday, June 16 at the Hilde Performance Center. -30- Page 8 City of Plymouth News Release For Immediate Release June 5, 2023 Contact: Katie Yandell Recreation Supervisor City of Plymouth 763-509-5222 kyandell@plymouthmn.gov Parkers Lake Play Day set for June 23 Plymouth, Minn. – The City of Plymouth continues its free Summer Beach Series with the new Parkers Lake Play Day event, set for 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, June 23 at Parkers Lake Park, 15205 County Road 6.
