Item:Closed Meeting per State Statute 13D.05, Subdivision 3(a) to
conduct City Manager's annual performance evaluation
1. Action Requested:
Motion to close meeting to conduct City Manager's annual performance evaluation.
2. Background:
Per State Statute 13D.05, Subdivision 3(a), a public body may close a meeting to evaluate the
performance of an individual who is subject to its authority. The public body shall identify the
individual to be evaluated prior to closing a meeting. At its next open meeting, the public body shall
summarize its conclusions regarding the evaluation. A meeting must be open at the request of the
individual who is the subject of the meeting.

Item:Set future study sessions
1. Action Requested:
Schedule study sessions and/or add topics as desired. Calendars are attached to assist with
scheduling.
2. Background:
If there is not enough time to discuss future study sessions after the closed session, this item can be
tabled until after the regular meeting.
Pending study session topics (at least three Council members have approved the following study
items on the list):
- None at this time.
Other Council Requests:
- Council Member Gregor requested further discussion on Plymouth's Therapeutic Massage
Ordinance. If three Council Members approve discussing this item, staff suggests adding it to the
June 13 regular meeting agenda.
Staff requests for Special Meeting topics and/or changes:
-Discuss if Council desires to hold a meeting on July 11. Past practice
has been to cancel the first meeting in July.
-Since Mayor will be gone on May 23, staff proposes to:
-Move Plymouth Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) and Four
Seasons Mall discussions to June 13 study session.
-Move Beekeeping regulations discussion to May 23 study session.
-Determine new date to discuss Boards/Commissions workplans and
youth membership.
