R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-124
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING AN UPDATED J OINT P OWERS A GREEMENT B ETWEEN THE
C ITY OF P LYMOUTH AND THE C ITIES OF M APLE G ROVE, B ROOKLYN C ENTER,
B ROOKLYN P ARK, C HAMPLIN, C RYSTAL, N EW H OPE AND R OBBINSDALE FOR P ETS
U NDER P OLICE S ECURITY (PUPS)
WHEREAS, the police department has a need to provide safe and efficient impoundment of
domesticated animals when needed; and
WHEREAS, Pets Under Police Security (PUPS) has provided this service to the City of
Plymouth and other member cities since December 1990; and
WHEREAS, the original joint powers agreement has been updated to reflect additional
member cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the police department be authorized to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with
the Cities of Maple Grove, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Champlin, Crystal, New Hope and
Robbinsdale for Pets Under Police Security (PUPS).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of April, 2023.
