R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-118
R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR
2023 G LEASON L AKE D RIVE I MPROVEMENTS P ROJECT (ST239001)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2023 Gleason Lake Drive
Improvements Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to state law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Kuechle Underground, Inc. of Kimball, MN, is the lowest responsible
bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Kuechle Underground, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into the contract with
Kuechle Underground, Inc. of Kimball, MN, in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 2023
Gleason Lake Drive Improvements Project according to the plans and specifications
therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the
amount of $5,532,983.21.
2. The total cost of the project is $6,753,300.09 and includes the improvements in the amount
of $5,532,983.21, easement acquisition in the amount of $50,000, intersection lighting in
the amount of $63,720.24, 15% engineering and administration in the amount of
$829,947.48, and 5% contingency in the amount of $276,649.16.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the project would be funded from special assessments in the
amount of $790,039.26, Street Reconstruction Fund in the amount of $3,644,156.32, Water Fund in the
amount of $1,407,900, Sewer Fund in the amount of $136,020, Water Resources Fund in the amount of
$100,000, Park Replacement Fund in the amount of $254,112, Park Dedication Fund in the amount of
$46,724.40, City of Minnetonka in the amount of $107,862.11, and Hennepin County in the amount of
$266,486.
