R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-110
R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR THE
W ELLS N O. 4, 5, AND 16 M AINTENANCE P ROJECT (WA239001)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Wells No. 4, 5, and 16 Maintenance
Project, three bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bid
was received complying with the advertisement:

E H Renner & Sons, Inc. $620,545
Keys Well Drilling Co. $677,390
Bergerson-Caswell $686,975
Engineers Estimate $604,675
WHEREAS, it appears that E H Renner & Sons, Inc., from Elk River, MN is the lowest responsible
bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to E H Renner & Sons, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to execute the contract with
E H Renner & Sons, Inc. for the Wells No. 4, 5, and 16 Maintenance Project according to the
plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of
the City Engineer in the amount of $620,545.
2. The project shall include 10% for contingency, design, administration in the amount of
$62,000.00 for a total project cost of $682,600.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for this project shall be from the Water Fund in the
amount of $682,600.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 11th day of April 2023.
