R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-079
R ESOLUTION A UTHORIZING A M EMORANDUM OF U NDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
C ITY OF P LYMOUTH AND THE N ATIONAL I NSURANCE C RIME B UREAU
WHEREAS, the police department has long partnered with the National Insurance Crime
Bureau to share information related to insurance crime and fraud; and
WHEREAS, the National Insurance Crime Bureau recently allowed law enforcement agencies
to self-administer access to their database; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to ensure
access is properly controlled and used for a legitimate law enforcement purpose; and
WHEREAS, access to the National Insurance Crime Bureau’s database is critical to
successfully investigating insurance related crime and fraud.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the police department be authorized to enter into a Memorandum of
Understanding with the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
