R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-062
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P URCHASE OF Q UAD A XLE D UMP T RUCK
WHEREAS, the 2022-2031 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and 2023 budget include the
replacement of the dozer (Unit 303), however the dozer will be replaced with a quad axle dump truck;
and
WHEREAS, the City may make purchases off the state contracts; and
WHEREAS, Boyer Truck, has a contract with the state for the truck chassis meeting the City’s
specifications, State Contract No. 194857; and
WHEREAS, Aspen Equipment has a contract with the state for truck components and accessories
meeting the City’s specifications, State Contract No. 214521; and
WHEREAS, the disposal of the existing assets; one dozer, shall be through auction in 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the purchase of one current model Quad Axle Truck Chassis from Boyer Truck, and the
related equipment to complete the trucks with hauling and equipment from Aspen Equipment is
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the amount due to Boyer Truck is $148,301.11 for one truck chassis,
sales tax due to the state at registration for the chassis is $9,639.57, and the amount due to Aspen
Equipment is $49,180.00 for the build out (no sales tax due to Aspen Equipment) for a total expenditure
of $207,120.68.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding would come from Central Equipment Fund 600-70-760-
76001-8100.500 in the amount of $207,120.68
