R ESOLUTION N O. 2023-003
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING L AWN M AINTENANCE C ONTRACT
FOR 2023-2024 WITH A NDER S UN L AWN S ERVICE
WHEREAS, the City park system includes over 1,800 acres of parkland; and
WHEREAS, the City has prepared specifications, advertised, received and opened bids on
November 4, 2022 at 10:30 am; and
WHEREAS, the following bids were received; and
Contractor Bid
Jim’s Lawn & Landscape $3,311.00
AnderSun Lawn Service $89,015.00
Whipper Snapper Lawn Service $89,235.05
KP Miller Construction $97,750.00
Grounds Maintenance Service Inc. $119,220.00
Dz Lawn Care & Snow Removal LLC $119,621.52
WHEREAS, there was an irregularity with the bid received from Jim’s Lawn & Landscape and
after review with the City Attorney, the recommendation is to reject; and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending awarding the bid to AnderSun Lawn Service for 2023-2024,
whose qualifications and work performance are compliant with the City’s Responsible Bidder
qualification policy; and
WHEREAS, maintaining turfgrass areas is budgeted in line item 100-40-411-41100-7500-101
in the Parks & Forestry operations budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, to award the lawn maintenance contract for 2023-2024 to AnderSun Lawn Service.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 10th day of January, 2023.
