HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2022-330 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-330 A R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE 2023 C OMPENSATION AND C LASSIFICATION P LAN FOR N ON-R EPRESENTED E MPLOYEES WHEREAS, the classification and compensation plan has been updated to align with the 2023 budget which has been submitted to the City Council for review and approval; and WHEREAS, the proposed 2023 pay plan reflects a 3% general pay increase for non-union staff; WHEREAS, non-represented police and fire personnel are required to wear and maintain uniforms; and WHEREAS, the proposed pay plan and policy changes have been funded under the appropriate line items in the 2023 budget as presented to the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does: 1. Approve a 3% general pay increase to the 2023 Classification and Compensation Plan for non-union employees effective December 24, 2022. 2. Dental Insurance: The city pays the full dental premium for employees who elect single health insurance or waive health insurance. The 2023 premiums are: single: $36.84/month, family: $110.22/month. Resolution 2022-330 Page 2 3. Approve an annual clothing allowance of $1,100 for 2023 for regular sworn non-union police and fire personnel. 4. Approve changes to the city’s 2023 staffing levels as included in the overall budget, for a total increase of 10.4 full time equivalency positions (FTEs). 5. Direct the city manager to proceed with the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the compensation plan and its components. APPROVED by the City Council on this 13th day of December, 2022.
