HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2022-282 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-282 R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR THE 2022 P OND M AINTENANCE P ROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2022 Pond Maintenance Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Total Bid Sunram Construction, Inc. $304,922.00 S.M. Hentges & Sons, Inc. $312,843.00 Peterson Companies $316,842.24 Blackstone Contractors LLC $319,003.47 New Look Contracting, Inc. $358,845.00 Rachel Contracting, LLC $371,428.00 Nadeau Companies $398,784.00 Veit & Company, Inc. $578,920.80 Meyer Contracting Inc. $616,529.51 Engineer’s Estimate $318,768.00 WHEREAS, Sunram Construction, Inc. from Corcoran, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder complying with the minimum qualifications; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Sunram Construction, Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that: 1) The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Sunram Construction, Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 2022 Pond Maintenance Project according to the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount $304,922.00. 2) The total cost of the project is $320,168.00 and will be funded from the Water Resources Fund which includes the improvements in the amount of $304,922.00 and administration and contingency in the amount of $15,246.00. APPROVED by the City Council on this 15th day of November, 2022.
