C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-253
A PPROVING R ESOLUTION S UPPORTING THE F RENCH R EGIONAL P ARK M ASTER P LAN
WHEREAS, The City of Plymouth recognizes French Regional Park as an important component of
the regional parks system providing natural resource protection and nature-based recreation to the
residents of the City and the region; and
WHEREAS, City staff have been working in partnership with Three Rivers Park District in
development of the Master Plan to ensure long-range planning preserves French Regional Park’s
treasured areas while expanding opportunities for visitors to try new activities that may lead them to
further park exploration within and beyond the park; and
WHEREAS, The City of Plymouth recognizes that Three Rivers Park District has gathered
significant public input in the development of the French Regional Park Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, The City of Plymouth recognizes that Three Rivers Park District has drafted the
French Regional Park Master Plan and accepted and responded to public comments appropriately; and
WHEREAS, The French Regional Park Master Plan is consistent with other approved local and
regional plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth supports the design, implementation and operation of the
French Regional Park pursuant to the Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the City Council hereby approves the support of the French Regional Park Master
Plan.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of October 2022.
