R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-249
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P URCHASE S INGLE
A XLE D UMP T RUCK W ITH S NOW/I CE C ONTROL R ELATED E QUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved on September 27, 2022 the use of surplus funds to
purchase an additional single axle dump truck including with snow/ice control related equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City may make purchases off of state contracts; and
WHEREAS, Nuss Truck Group, dba Twin City Mack, has a contract with the state for both truck
chassis meeting the City’s specifications, State Contract No. T647(5); and
WHEREAS, Towmaster Inc. has a contract with the state for snow plow truck components and
accessories meeting the City’s specifications, State Contract No. 212541.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the purchase of one current model Single Axle Truck Chassis from Nuss Truck Group,
and the related equipment to complete the trucks with hauling and snow plowing/ice control
equipment from Towmaster Inc. is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the amount due to Nuss Truck Group is $126,895.00 for one truck
chassis, sales tax due to the state at registration for the chassis is $8,248.18, and the amount due to
Towmaster Inc. is $171,762.00 for one truck (no sales tax is due to Tow Master Inc.) for a total
expenditure of $306,905.18.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding would come from Surplus Fund 400-90-940-94000-
8100.500 in the amount of $306,905.18
APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of October 2022.
