HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2022-233 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-233 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND O RDERING A DVERTISEMENT FOR B IDS FOR THE B ASS L AKE E STATES 2 ND A DDITION S TREAM R ESTORATION P ROJECT (WR220001) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, City of Maple Grove and Shingle Creek Watershed Management Commission (SCWMC) are working to improve the water quality in Pike and Eagle Lakes to help the lakes meet water quality standards; and WHEREAS, the Bass Lake Estates 2nd Addition Stream Restoration Project is included in the 2022-2031 Capital Improvement Program at an estimated total cost of $500,000 as Project WR-22-0001; and WHEREAS, the Pike Lake Channel is identified as City of Maple Grove Project No. 22-09; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, City of Maple Grove and SCWMC wish to jointly proceed with the project; and WHEREAS, the City’s consulting engineer, WSB and Associates, has prepared plans and specifications for improvement No. WR220001, the Bass Lake Estates 2nd Addition Stream Restoration Project, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and on Quest CDN an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received online by QuestCDN until 9:00 a.m. on October 13, 2022 at which time they will be publicly displayed in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Engineer and City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at 7:00 p.m. on October 25, 2022, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless submitted online via the QuestCDN bidding site and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. APPROVED by the City Council on this 27th day of September, 2022.
