HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2022-150 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-150 R ESOLUTION TO E NTER INTO A C OOPERATIVE C ONSTRUCTION A GREEMENT WITH THE C ITY OF M APLE G ROVE AND E NTER INTO A C LEAN W ATER F UND C OMPETITIVE G RANT A GREEMENT WITH THE S TATE OF M INNESOTA FOR THE B ASS L AKE E STATES 2 ND A DDITION S TREAM R ESTORATION P ROJECT (WR-22-001) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, City of Maple Grove and Shingle Creek Watershed Management Commission (SCWMC) are working to improve the water quality in Pike and Eagle Lakes to help the lakes meet water quality standards; and WHEREAS, the Bass Lake Estates 2nd Addition Stream Restoration Project is included in the 2022-2031 Capital Improvement Program at an estimated total cost of $500,000 as Project WR-22-0001; and WHEREAS, the Pike Lake Channel is identified as City of Maple Grove Project No. 22-09; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, City of Maple Grove and SCWMC wish to jointly proceed with the project; and WHEREAS, the Cooperative Construction Agreement outlines that the City of Plymouth will bid and administer construction services for the project; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth will be reimbursed for costs associated with the Bass Lake Estates 2nd Addition Stream Restoration Project by the City of Maple Grove in accordance with the Cooperative Construction Agreement; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth will be reimbursed for 25% of the costs associated with the Bass Lake Estates 2nd Addition Stream Restoration Project by the SCWMC; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth will be reimbursed for costs associated with the Bass Lake Estates 2nd Addition Stream Restoration Project by the State of Minnesota in accordance with the Clean Water Fund Competitive Grant Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that: 1) The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to approve and sign the Cooperative Construction Agreement between the City of Plymouth and the City of Maple Grove. 2) The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to approve and sign the State of Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources Clean Water Fund Competitive Resolution 2022- Page 2 Grants Program Grant Agreement between the City of Plymouth and the State of Minnesota. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding for this project shall be from the Water Resources Fund. APPROVED by the City Council on this 24th day of May, 2022.
