Special Council Meeting
August 30, 2022
Mayor Wosje called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Medicine
Lake Room of Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on August 30, 2022.
PLYMOUTH COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Wosje, Councilmembers Willis, Carroll, Davis, Prom, Slavik, and
McGregor (arrived 6:40 p.m.).
PLYMOUTH COUNCIL ABSENT: None.
PLYMOUTH STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Deputy City Manager Solano, Public Works Director
Thompson, Park and Recreation Director Tomlinson, Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer
LaBounty, and City Clerk/Administrative Coordinator Gallup.
Interviews for Commission/Committee Vacancies
Council conducted interviews to fill vacant seats on the Environmental Quality Committee and Park and
Recreation Advisory Commission.
The meeting recessed at 6:50 p.m. to move to the regular City Council meeting.
The meeting reconvened at 8:15 p.m.
Council directed staff to prepare a resolution appointing the vacant at‐large seat on the Environmental
Quality Committee and the vacant at‐large seat on the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission for the
September 13 Council meeting agenda.
Review Council Policy on Commission Appointments
Council reviewed the commission appointments policy related to the selection process and term limits of
person appointed to boards, commissions, and committees.
Council directed staff to prepare a resolution amending the policy to remove the term limits and replace
with language requiring committee and commission members to reapply after their first full term and
every term thereafter.
Future Study Sessions
The following meeting change was made:
Schedule 5 p.m. September 27 Study Session to review the Prudential Sketch Plan and continue
budget discussions if needed.
